A man has admitted being in charge of a vicious dog which caused what Carlisle Crown Court heard was "a terrible" facial injury to a young girl in Kendal.
44 year old Justin Allen pleaded guilty to one offence when he appeared this afternoon (Monday).
He accepted he was in charge of a Labrador-Staffordshire bull terrier cross, which caused injury to the youngster while dangerously out of control.
It happened at a house on Sandylands Road on the 15th of August, leaving the girl with "extensive" injuries to her face - needing specialist hospital treatment and at least three operations.
Allen - of Moatside, Brampton, was bailed and is due to be sentenced on the 10th of December.
