Residents of part of Kendal say they're worried about the volume of traffic passing through their estate, during a major road closure.
Windermere Road was shut for resurfacing work yesterday, and will continue every night this week between 6pm and midnight.
Traffic is being diverted through Hallgarth, but local people say the increase in traffic - including large lorries, is a major worry.
Local resident Neil Fileo said: "I just thought vehicles that size coming onto a housing estate would choose a different way, like Hollins Lane or somewhere, but no, they went down Hallgarth. I think a complaint needs to be put in, that the diversion shouldn't be there."
