Police have refreshed their appeal for information after an armed robbery near Bowness last week.

It happened at Storrs on Friday night between 6.30 and 7pm.

The robbery - which lasted for up to half an hour, has been described as "a terrible ordeal" for the victims.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Brown said: “This was a terrible ordeal for the couple and we have a team of detectives working hard to trace the offenders and to bring them to justice.

“We would still urge anyone who saw three males acting suspiciously in the area to contact us. We would also like to speak to anyone who saw a vehicle with a number of males on board acting suspiciously in the Storrs area between 5.30pm and 7pm.”

Anyone with information should contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to South CID, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
