Police Investigate Catalytic Converter Thefts In Kendal

Police are investigating the theft of seven catalytic converters from across Kendal.

The converters were all taken from Mercedes Sprinter vans between 31st October and 2nd November. 

They were stolen from vehicles at the following locations:
 
-        Stainbank Road, between 1pm on October 31st and 6.30am on November 2nd

-        Spring Bank Road, between 6pm on October 31st and 4.30am on November 2nd

-        Fernwood Drive, sometime between October 31st and November 2nd

-        Appleby Road, between 8pm on November 1st and 7.30am on November 2nd

-        Serpentine Road, between 8pm on November 1st and 9am on November 2nd

-        Garth Brow, between 10am on November 1st and 11.30am on November 2nd

-        Glebe Road, sometime overnight on November 1st into November 2nd

Inspector Gareth Jesson said: “I would ask anyone with information in to the theft of the catalytic converters to get in touch with police in order to bring those responsible to justice and to prevent them from committing further offences.
 
“I would also urge all scrap dealers to be wary of catalytic converters that are traded in. If you believe the item to be suspicious please get in touch.”
