A man charged with unlawful wounding following an alleged incident at Bowness has appeared in court.
33 year old Carl Ward is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Joseph Martin with intent on the 25th of April.
At Carlisle Crown Court today, Ward - of Greengarth, Great Clifton at Workington, entered a not-guilty plea.
He'll go on trial before crown court in the week starting the 11th of January.
The hearing is expected to last around three days, and Ward was remanded on bail.
