The Comic Art Festival starts in Kendal today.
The three day event celebrates artists who create the likes of animation; graphic novels; computer games; and manga.
It's an international affair - a co-creator of the Simpsons and the people behind Grand Theft Auto are coming over from the U.S.
The not-for-profit organisation that runs it has received backing from Cumbria County Council this year.
