A man's being treated for multiple injuries after taking what rescuers described as "a big fall" while walking in the Lake District mountains.
It happened at 3.40 yesterday afternoon, when the Langdale & Ambleside and Kendal Mountain Rescue Teams were called to Brownley Gill.
A Royal Navy search & rescue helicopter airlifted the casualty from the scene, who suffered head, leg and arm injuries.
