A man was arrested following an attack on a woman in a Milnthorpe Road lay-by last week.

The victim was assaulted on Thursday - she was grabbed and pushed to the ground leading to a cut that had to be glued shut.

Cumbria Police say a 40-year old man has been arrested and bailed.

A man was attacked in the street in Barrow last night.

The 21-year old victim was punched and kicked on Lumley Street, around 10pm.

Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses.

A 15-year old boy suffered a bust lip after what police are calling an "altercation" with a bus driver at Penny Bridge on Friday.

It happened on the x12 service.

Officers want a person who stepped in to split up the offender and victim to come forward.

There's a witness appeal after a cyclist was knocked off his bike on the Coast Road in Furness on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year old broke his nose in the collision.

Cumbria Police would like the driver of a white Fiat 500 to come forward.

A stolen van was involved in a crash between Meathop and Lindale on Saturday morning.

Cumbria Police tell us the white van had been taken from Cartmel before the incident on the A590.
