A pregnant woman had to be rescued from a Lake District mountain yesterday, after suffering abdominal pain.
The Langdale & Ambleside Mountain Rescue team was called out yesterday lunchtime to help the woman, who was part of a large group at Stickle Tarn.
She was flown from the scene by air ambulance.
The rest of the group - which the team says were of "various ages and fitness abilities", were escorted down the mountain.
