Two people were badly hurt during a trail race in Hawkshead at the weekend.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team say a man and a woman fell - suffering a broken collar bone and dislocated shoulder respectively.
The pair were taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the same Mountain Rescue Team was involved in the rescue of a woman who twisted her knee running over Hole Rake on Sunday - she was taken to Furness General by Air Ambulance.
