More than 100 units of blood was donated during just one donor session in Kendal this week.
The NHS Blood & Transplant service held a session at the Castle Green Hotel on Monday.
108 units were donated altogether - That's enough to help more than 300 people.
A spokesperson said: "However, the need for new donors also continues and our team will be back again over the next few weeks to collect blood from our wonderful volunteers.
"New donors are welcome, we particularly need young people and people have a BAME background. Blood donation at this time of year is crucial as we need to secure the supply to local hospitals around Easter/bank holiday time."
Further sessions will be held at The Castle Green Hotel on Monday 4th April, and Thursday 14th April between 1.45pm to 3.45pm, and again from 4.45pm to 7.30pm.
