Resurfacing work on the westbound side of the A590 at Brettargh Holt continues with two more overnight closures from tonight (Monday).
Highways England says the westbound side between the roundabout and the exit sliproad for the A6 will be closed tonight and tomorrow, between 8pm and 6am.
The carriageway was also closed for four night in a row last week.
A spokesman said: "Drivers on the northbound M6 in vehicles under 16 feet high and wishing to join the A590 at junction 36 and travel beyond Brettargh Holt roundabout are advised instead to leave at junction 35 for Carnforth - following the A601(M) and northbound A6 onto the westbound A590 at Levens
"Other northbound drivers and all drivers on the southbound M6 should leave the motorway at junction 36 and from the westbound A590 at Brettargh Holt roundabout use the northbound A591 past Kendal up to Windermere and then the southbound A592 – re-joining the westbound A590 at Newby Bridge.
"Other, local, diversions will be in place and there will be restricted and escorted access onto Force Lane and The Vila."
