The battle for parking spaces has become so intense that one in ten drivers in Britain put off making car trips to avoid losing their spot.
According to research by the AA, around one in five also always worries about finding a space when they return home.
Here in the north west, 17% of drivers say they worry about finding somewhere to park when they get home, with 11% putting off leaving the house just to keep their place.
