Cumbria's Household Waste Recycling Centre Permit Scheme will return on Monday next week.
The scheme was suspended over the last month to make it easier for householders to dispose of their flood-damage waste.
The county council says as the urgent need to remove such waste has now passed, the Permit Scheme will be reinstated from the 11th of January.
For householders needing to dispose of their waste at an HWRC by way of a van, pickup or flatbed vehicle or a trailer, a Permit will be required to access the HWRC.

A spokesperson for Cumbria County Council said: "This was always a temporary measure to make life a bit simpler for people affected by flooding. We've now seen the number of people visiting HWRC with flood damaged items reduce hugely and it's right that we re-instate the permit scheme to ensure our HWRC are used appropriately."
