Police have confirmed that negotiators were called-out to a 'domestic incident' in Windermere on New Year's Eve.
Emergency service vehicles were still at the scene until around 10am after the incident began to unfold at 1am on the 31st of December on Thornbarrow Road.
An onlooker said: "There are lots of police and several ambulances at the bottom of thornbarrow road in Windermere this morning, not sure if there's something going on."
A 31 year old Kendal man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug and breaching bail conditions. He's been bailed until the 24th of January.
Nobody was injured.
