Cumbria Police say Glenridding and Keswick are among the areas they're most worried about ahead of more rain.
Other areas they're concerned about are Appleby, Braithwaite, Cockermouth, Egremont, and Flimby.
Superintendent Mark Pannone, of Cumbria Constabulary, said: “The further spell of rain and high winds is likely to cause some disruption across north and west Cumbria. The Strategic Coordination Group are doing everything possible to ensure that the county is prepared for the forecasted conditions.
“I would advise those who live or work in the areas of concern to keep up to date with the latest weather forecasts and Environment Agency advice.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure the Cumbrian public that all agencies are ensuring that staff are in place to respond to any potential incidents throughout the next 24 hours.”
