The bridge on the A683 at Middleton between Sedbergh and Kirby Lonsdale is still closed.
Cumbria County Council says people are moving signs and crossing anyway, which is very dangerous as the bridge has been condemned.
A spokesperson for Cumbria County Council said: "We're urging members of the public to respect the signage that has been put in place. Where bridges and roads are closed it is for reasons of public safety and there is genuine danger to anyone ignoring the signage. While emergency services are still dealing with a high volume of issues we don't need people putting themselves at unnecessary risk."
