The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain that's expected to affect parts of Cumbria later today (Monday).
The warning will be in force from 5pm today, until 5am tomorrow.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Further rainfall is expected to arrive across central and southern Scotland and northern England during the early hours of Wednesday before clearing to the southeast on Thursday.
"Some very strong winds are also likely in association with this system with gusts of 60 mph possible around exposed coasts and hills. This could prove a further hazard.
"Please be aware of the potential for further disruption from flooding and to transport. This warning has been updated to bring forward the end time and to remove North Yorkshire and parts of Lancashire from the warning area."
