Keswick's Live Advent Calendar starts today.
The next 24 days will see concerts; story-telling; drama; and Christmas food and drink.
A different window will be illuminated each day - forming a festive trail to follow.
It's the 2nd time the town's run the event.
This year's festivities kick-off with a Santa race around Derwent Island - the winner will get to light up the first window, which is at the Theatre by the Lake.
