MPs - including South Lakeland's Tim Farron, have shown their defiance by pressing ahead with constituency advice surgeries following the death of their parliamentary colleague Jo Cox.
Mr Farron has confirmed to us that he will be holding his latest advice surgery in Kirkby Lonsdale tomorrow (Saturday).
The Liberal Democrat leader will be on hand between 10am and 11am at the Kirkby Lonsdale library, with no need to book an appointment.
Mr Farron says he intends to keep running his surgeries, despite the events in West Yorkshire this week.
Politicians have been advised to contact police about their security in the wake of the deadly attack on Mrs Cox - the Labour MP for Batley and Spen.
The 41-year-old mother-of-two was shot, stabbed and kicked in the street following a constituency surgery in Birstall.
Meanwhile, all parties have confirmed that they will not contest the by-election for the seat as a mark of respect, allowing Labour to retain it.
The @LibDems will not stand in the Batley and Spen by-election as a mark of respect.
