The Kendal-based Lakeland Arts group says it hopes to have its new pop-up cafe open by the end of this month.
It's being set up at Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Museum of Lakeland Life & Industry, while their Coffee House undergoes renovations, following last year's floods.
The charity is also appealing for donations of chairs and tables for the café, which they want to upcycle.
When the pop-up cafe ends, donated items will then be given to the Furniture Warehouse, run by Right2Work.
Chris Greenbank, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, said: "Please get in touch with Synne or Simon at popupcafe@abbothall.org.uk or call 01539 888057 if you have any furniture you can spare, or if you have any exciting local recipes to share or if you know of any local salt and pepper producers!"
