Yellow warnings for rain are in place across Cumbria and North Lancashire until 9pm on Wednesday.
A warning is in place until 9pm tonight (Monday), and the Met Office has also issued a yellow warning for the area tomorrow, between 10am and 9pm, and then again on Wednesday, between the same times.
Scattered heavy thundery showers are expected to develop, and will once again lead to slow-moving downpours.
15-20 mm could fall within an hour in scattered locations.
However, some parts will inevitably miss most, or all, of the heavier rain.
Local people are again urged to be aware of possible localised flooding and disruption to travel.
A representative from The Met Office said: "It’s been a pretty showery few days, with some of us managing to escape the worst, whilst others have seen some devastating flash flooding from torrential downpours.
"This theme looks set to continue for the next 3 days, with daytime showers becoming very heavy and slow moving, sometimes accompanied by hail and thunder.
"The showers will tend to ease down each evening, although some will certainly continue through the night, albeit, less intense."

Earlier, Torrisholme Road in Lancaster was closed due to flooding under the bridge, which resulted in a car getting submerged there.
Lancaster's fire crew was called, amid fears that people may have been trapped in the vehicle, but upon arrival, they found the car was empty.
That flooding then caused serious delays heading into Lancaster on Morecambe Road.
Water pooled at the roadside in a few places, as more than two centimetres of rain fell in just two hours.
There's also flooding on some streets around Barrow, such as Marsh Street and Black Butts Lane, Walney (pictured below).
