A public meeting is being held to discuss plans for the Appleby Horse Fair today.
Cumbria County Council is inviting residents to a meeting of the Upper Eden Neighbourhood Forum on Monday 23rd May 2016 at the Public Hall.
The meeting, which will take place 7pm-9pm, will give local people the opportunity to hear about the planning for the fair directly from the coordinating group and will be given the chance to ask questions or raise concerns.
Councillor Martin Stephenson said: “We’ll be discussing a range of issues relating to the fair including policing, traffic management and the regulation of caravan sites, so I’d encourage residents to come along and find out more.”
Following the fair there will be a public debrief meeting at Appleby Public Hall on Monday 18th July between 7pm-8pm to discuss the fair and give residents the opportunity to suggest planning for next year.
Appleby Horse Fair 2016 runs from 2nd June to 8th June.
