There's a witness appeal following yesterday's fatal crash on the A6, near Yealand Redmayne.
It involved a motorbike and a car at the junction with Tarn Lane, near Nineteen Acre Lane.
The 65-year old rider - from Warton - was thrown from his bike in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene.
Lancashire Police have described it as an " extremely tragic incident."
Sgt Finn Quainton, of the West Roads Policing division, said: "This is an extremely tragic incident and my thoughts are with the man involved and his family at this time.
"We are appealing for witnesses following the collision and would ask anyone in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
"This was a busy stretch of road and we believe a number of motorists might have seen what happened.”
