Work starts today on a new traffic signal control system in Kendal town centre - although traffic won't be affected until later this month.
The work's being done from today at the junction of Highgate and Lowther Street.
Then - on the 22nd of May, Allhallows Lane will be closed between Stricklandgate and Low Fellside.
Access down Highgate, Lowther Street and Booths will be available during that closure.
All the work should be finished by Friday the 27th of May.
