A man has pleaded guilty to assaulting four police officers in Kendal last year.
Anthony Grogan spat at two constables and grabbed a custody sergeant in a headlock after attending the town station on the 20th December.
The following morning, the 24-year-old then committed another spitting offence, this time against a detective who was preparing to interview him.
Grogan pleaded guilty to four counts of police assault when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (Tuesday).
He also admitted damaging a police cell during his violent visit.
He received a three-month prison sentence from Judge Peter Davies, but was due for immediate release having served six months on remand.
Judge Davies told Grogan, of no fixed address: "These offences were repellant; they were disgusting, depraved and you should be ashamed of yourself."
