A Kendal man has been sentenced for assault in a town centre flat.
Carlisle Crown Court heard 22 year old Sean Buchanan committed the crime after visiting his victim's flat on Highgate on the 6th of January.
After an argument broke out between the pair, the court heard Buchanan - of Greengate, lashed out at his victim, leaving a cut behind his ear.
Buchanan pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault, and was given a 10-week prison sentence.
However, because Buchanan had already spent four months in custody on remand, he's being released today.
