Over 1,000 local people took part in the Kendal Colour Dash on Sunday.
Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron also participated in the 5km run, which is in its second year.
The dash started at Kirkbie Kendal School and went around Kendal Castle in aid of St John's Hospice.
Tim said: “The Colour Dash was a fun event for all the family, to raise money for a very worthy cause.
"The event was a great success, and it was fantastic to see how much it had grown since last year.
"It is testament to the community spirit of our area that so many local people turned up and took part.
"My thanks go to all those who were involved in the organisation of this event.”
