A motorcyclist has escaped serious injury after a collision with a car on the A65 at Sedgwick near Barrows Green.
Police were called to the scene between Shyreakes Lane and Helm Lane just after midday on Saturday the 16th of April.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police told Bay News the driver of the motorcycle is 'up and walking about' after being treated by paramedics from both the North West Ambulance Service and the Great North Air Ambulance.
The Police spokesman also told us the driver of the car appears to be uninjured, but there is substantial damage to both vehicles and they have been recovered.
The road has been closed off, with Police directing traffic around the scene.
This is affecting motorists between Natland and Gatebeck.
