Cumbria Police are appealing for information after three separate reports of a man in the Kendal area asking teenage girls to get in his car.

These three incidents have been reported over the last month.

The latest of these incidents reportedly took place on Beezon Road in the early evening on Sunday the 10th of April.

A 16-year-old girl was approached by a man in a blue car and asked by him to get into the car.

She ran from the scene.

Another incident of this nature took place at Longpool on the 16th of March, involving a 15-year-old girl, and again, in the Gooseholme area a 16-year-old girl was approached on April 4th.

The male in all three incidents has been described as being in his 20s, with dirty blonde hair and bad teeth, and he has been driving a blue car.

Sergeant Charles Sowerby said: “We are appealing for members of the public to come forward with any information they may have about these incidents, anyone who has information about the potential suspect, or anyone else who has been approached in the same way.

“None of the girls have been hurt in these incidents but have obviously been left shaken.

"We’d like to take this opportunity to remind young people to be vigilant – make sure somebody knows where you are and never get in to the car of someone you do not know.”
