The Queen’s official guide, Cedric Robinson, will lead fundraisers across eight miles of sands in a sponsored walk to raise funds for local hospitals.
The sponsored cross-bay walk's happening on Saturday the 11th of June, starting at 10am from Arnside and ending at Kents Bank.
The walk should take approximately 3.5 hours and has been specially organised for Morecambe Bay Hospitals Charity.
UHMBT is urging as many local people as possible to sign up.
Paula Richardson, Head of Charities and Fundraising, UHMBT, said: “The cross bay walk is a great way to raise money for your local hospital, while at the same time getting some exercise and keeping fit.
"I’d like to thank Cedric for all the support he has given us over the years, and also congratulate him on celebrating his 53rd year as the Queen’s official guide.
“The walk includes walking across dangerous quick-sands – so not for the faint-hearted, however you are in very capable hands with Cedric.”
