There's a witness appeal following a suspected hit and run in Casterton, near Kendal.
A pedestrian was struck by a car in the village around 10.15pm on Saturday night.
They were thrown onto a grass verge and suffered several injuries.
Cumbria Police has launched a witness appeal whilst officers are also asking the driver to come forward.
