£10,000 worth of gardening equipment was stolen in Greenodd earlier this week.
Cumbria Police say the chainsaws, trimmers and blowers were taken from Henry Armer's premises on Main Street on Monday night.
A red and white car were seen in the area at the time - they drove off towards Ulverston.
Officers want witnesses to come forward as well as anyone who suspects they've been offered any of the stolen goods.
