The man who pulled a truck driver and his dog from his cab following Monday's big crash on the M6 has been found.
50-year old Dave Dann and his canine companion Peanut were rescued following the multi-vehicle smash near Lancaster, which shut the southbound carriageway for 21 hours.
Dave's son Jason launched a social media appeal to find the man who saved him - it was shared more than 70,000 times on Facebook.
It's now emerged the good samaritan was former Army man Wayne Atkinson - a 57-year old from Barrow.
