The Cumbria Community Foundation's 'Big Sleep' event takes place in less than two weeks.
The fundraising event sees local people 'sleep-rough' outdoors, to raise money to keep elderly local residents warm in the winter.
It takes place on Saturday the 30th of this month at the Low Wood Hotel for the Winter Warmth Appeal.
Sue Coulson and Janet Gillespie of Windermere based Coulson Associates and Janett Walker of Progression Solicitors Ulverston, Windermere and Grange, are preparing to sleep out.
Sue said: “As a business we have been fortunate to support some fantastic charities and fundraising activities over the last few years. We are kicking off our twenty-sixteen charitable events with The Big Sleep and are looking forward to wrapping up warm before bedding down to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause”.
Janett added: “Like Coulson Associates, Progression are huge supporters and sponsors of charity events and I am pleased to be representing the firm in raising funds for this event too. We hope that colleagues, associates, friends and family will dig deep to raise as much as we can for The Big Sleep. Whilst it might be freezing, the event certainly promises to be fun and full of warmth and we very much look forward to a great night.”
