A convicted sex offender is back behind bars after contacting a child victim through social media.
24 year old Ian Gabbert was jailed for 22 months in late 2014 for both sexually assaulting and grooming a 14-year-old girl.
Gabbert, of Ulpha, near Broughton-in-Furness, was released from custody on licence in September last year, but within a month he broke the law again by contacting the youngster - breaching his sexual offences prevention order.
Having admitted the breach, he was jailed for 16 months at Carlisle Crown Court.
Judge Barbara Forrester heard this was his fifth SOPO breach. The judge told Gabbert: "You are well aware of the seriousness of your position."
