Overnight closures of the westbound A590 at Brettargh Holt will resume on Monday.
The westbound stretch between Brettargh Holt roundabout and the exit slip road for the A6 will shut between 8pm and 6am for four nights.
The same closure will also be in effect for two nights from the 18th of January.
Highways England says it's for drainage repairs - the work was delayed by the recent storms.
Most drivers heading to Furness from the M6 will be able to come off at Carnforth and join the A590 via the A6.
However, vehicles over 16 feet high will need to take a lengthy diversion around Windermere.
