Just days after the devastating floods hit Cumbria and Lancashire, three of the area's best-known musicians are calling on as much local support as possible for their 'Help The North' project, to raise funds for those affected.
Jamie Walker & Luke Paget (from The Feud) and James Morrison are recording a charity Christmas single - and everyone from the local area is being invited to be on the recording.
Luke said: "We want to involve as much of the community as possible in the track so we are hosting a special event on Wednesday (16th of December) at Lancaster's Grand Theatre between 7 and 9pm, in which anyone can get involved and be a part of the track.
"We will be recording a mass community choir singing along to the chorus and have released a short demo clip of the chorus (below) for people to familiarise themselves with the track.
"Everyone is welcome, so bring everyone you know and show your support for the cause."
Among the other local musicians involved are Amy Jo Clough, Molly Warburton, Evie Plumb and Scool Trip - all of whom will be adding their talents to an original Christmas song titled 'It Won't Be Long 'Till Christmas'.
Luke added: "The single will be released on iTunes the 18th December. Digital download of the track will cost 99p and profits of the sales will be going towards The Community Foundation for Lancashire flood appeal, and the Cumbria's Community Foundation's flood appeal.
"We're hoping that as many local businesses and community members as possible will get behind the project and come down to perform and hopefully we can make it a huge success and raise a large amount of money for the flood appeals."

Below is the demo clip of the song, so everyone can learn the lyrics and tune before coming to the gathering.
Chorus:
And If We
Hold On, Hold On
Together as one
We can build a dream
Yeah if we
Hold On, Hold On
The season will come
For the world to be as one
In time for Christmas
Ahh's
Not long 'til Christmas time
Ahh's
It won't be long 'til Christmas.
