Kendal Sea Cadet Unit on Queen Katherine Street, Kendal was badly flooded by storm Desmond and is in need of a place to meet while their building is out of action.
They were badly damaged and it looks as though the Unit will have to be completely stripped out and rebuild.
Their building could be out of action for up to a year.
They meet twice a week in the evenings and need a fairly large space to accommodate the Cadets and their activities.
One of the key things is that they need some secure storage space where they can leave equipment etc, and the alternative accommodation must be somewhere in or around Kendal if possible.
If anyone wants to offer them a temporary meeting place please contact Jane Gosling - Chairman on 01539 732204 or email their Commanding Officer at co@kendalseacadets.co.uk
The Kendal Sea Cadet unit is also looking for financial help from anyone to help rebuild their Unit.
Unlike other Cadet forces, they are not directly funded by the Ministry of Defence and have to raise all monies themselves.
Anyone who can help with that is urged to get in contact.
