The team behind the Kendal Calling Festival has launched a raffle to raise money to help people who have been affected by the Cumbria floods at the weekend - and power cuts that followed.
A spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are going out to everyone who has been affected by the devastating Cumbria Floods over the weekend caused by Storm Desmond.
"As proud Cumbrians, our beautiful surroundings have been Kendal Calling’s home for over ten years and many of our Kendal friends and family live in the nearby areas that have been hit the hardest by the floods.
"Supporting the flood appeal launched by the Cumbria Community Foundation we have set up a donation drive - donating £5,000 ourselves to kick-start the fundraising funds – but we want to raise more, and we need your help in doing this!
"Each donation will be entered into a prize draw to win one of a number of our amazing raffle rewards including tickets to Kendal Calling, Parklife Festival, Forgotten Fields 2016, Tim Peaks Tea & Coffee, a £200 gift voucher from Ticketline and a 2 x course Gourmet meal cooked by Simon Rimmer at Earle in Hale, with more prizes being added daily as friends of the festival help drive the appeal forward.
"So far we’ve raised £6,529.59 which is fantastic – so THANK YOU for all the support so far!"
